The Mystery House got its name from a story told about wealthy doctor, John MacDonald, who was known to carry large sums of money around town. After a brief stay at 95 King Street in the 1800’s, he disappeared. A trail of blood was found in the snow and a nearby swamp was drained in the search efforts.
